HOW I SEE AND FEEL DESIGN
Yeva Rajpal
I believe that everything is conversion of energy, nothing ever stays-everything transforms, continuously evolving from one form to another.
DESIGN is an intimate and transformative process. My love for design channels all my emotions and I strive to exude love and positivity. I approach each project as an opportunity to translate this energy into spatial experiences. Basic design elements can be elevated beyond physicality into carriers of meaning and emotion. Design should fuse creativity and technical aspects, and meet at the intersection of intuition and functionality.
My process begins with an exploration of emotional resonance. I begin by asking how a space or object can evoke an emotional response. From there, I employ an iterative methodology that involves material studies, spatial analysis, user-centred design principles to ensure that every decision serves both
form and function.
This process is my pursuit to craft bespoke environments that awaken subconscious emotions and feelings that exist beneath the surface but have yet to be fully realised. It requires balancing technical design tools like digital modelling, parametric design, and environmental simulation with a deep understanding of human psychology and behaviour.
I ask : How do you translate emotion into a business strategy?

A houseboat design based on my personal relationship to water. to love something deeply, yet be unable to survive within it, not knowing how to swim- I shaped the living space to evoke intimacy without immersion creating moments of access through sight, but not touch.
